This post explains about Scheme of examination in Group-B
services of Reserve Bank of India.
RBI Group B services
examination scheme is Written test known as “WE” divided into 2 phases followed
by interview. For eligible in these services please check the post on eligibility
requirements
The 3 stage
process is as follows

Phase
1 of WE consists of Objective type test
·
Phase
2 of WE consists of Descriptive type test
·
Interview
The papers
for phase 1 and phase 2 are generally Bi-Lingual
in Hindi and English other than English paper test. Phase 2 papers can be
answered in any language as per candidates choice. Candidate has to choose one
language option for answering.
Objective Type test
Objective type
test is of 3 hours duration and generally of 200 marks.
This paper
consists of following sections
I.
General
Awareness
II.
English
Language
III.
Quantitative
Aptitude and
IV.
Reasoning
Candidates have
to qualify Phase 1 of Objective test to become eligible for appearing in Phase
2 of WE.
The candidate
has to secure minimum cut off marks in individual sections with aggregate cut
off marks used to shortlist candidates for the Phase 2 of ‘WE’.
The minimum cut
off aggregate marks used to shortlist candidates for phase 2 is decided by Board
based on number of vacancies.
Descriptive Type test
Descriptive type
test consists of following papers
I.
Paper
1- English
II.
Paper
2-Economic and Social issues
III.
Paper
3-Finance and Management
The candidates
qualified in phase 2 are called for interview.
Number of Attempts
Maximum number
of attempts are 4 for unreserved category while there is no restriction of
number of attempts for SC\ST\OBC\PWD categories.
